COVID-19 TeamNet

In light of the ever changing communication and information coming out around COVID we have set up a Clinical Cell working group with the aim of collating all information and keeping one place to support practices.

This can be accessed through TeamNet and is being updated regularly as new information comes through.

You don’t require a TeamNet login to access this page, please share through your practice and we recommend bookmarking the page to refer back to regularly.

Any information you have at practice level and wish to share wider practice please email clinical.cell@nhs.net

COVID-19 - my mhealth (COPD APP) support for services and patients

In an attempt to keep our COPD patients as safe as possible during this time, we are promoting the use of the myCOPD app to all COPD patients. This app will help them self-manage their condition including accessing educational videos/inhaler techniques/helpful tips to help them keep as well as possible.

For practices who have already been set up for issuing the licences it is possible to use your existing SMS capabilities to register patients at scale. For more information on how to do this and to explore how we can use the licences we have to support our patients at this time we also have an offer from Jane Stokes, Senior Engagement Specialist from my mhealth to help support practices remotely to get as many patients set up with the app. Jane’s contact details are included below.

Jane is also available to speak to any practices directly by ringing her mobile 07860407905.  If your practice has not already signed up to issue the licences – can you please contact Jane directly who will be able to talk you through the process.

Worcestershire CCGs have recently completed a re-procurement for a Community Dermatology service. We are pleased to announce that from 1 April 2020, DMC will be providing the service for two years.

The DMC team is led by Dr Tony Downs, Lead Consultant Dermatologist and Dr Camilo Diaz, Clinical Lead.

DMC are committed to working with Primary Care and Worcestershire Acute Trust to ensure patients in Worcestershire receive a seamless dermatology service. The service will help support patients in the community and identify new ways of working to keep waiting times to a minimum and prevent patients attending more appointments than clinically necessary.

DMC will be offering local educational sessions for clinicians in primary care as well as short webinars on specific conditions.  DMC will also be attending protected learning time events held by the CCG as appropriate.

GP’s can refer via ERS, using the referral forms, which can be found on EMIS. Referral guidance was circulated in August 2019 and can be found on TeamNet.
